Last Summer, in Organisational Development at Nottingham Trent University (NTU).  We had our training room equipped with a new Microsoft Surface Hub, described as an 'all-in-one collaborative canvas and meetings platform'.  Of which aroused much interest and curiosity in staff wanting to explore it and work out its purpose and potential in their roles.

In August 2019, I met up with a colleague who was naturally curious of the newly installed technology.  However, they were quite reluctant in its ability to work and be successful if used live with people.  The document below is an output from the initial conversation I had with my colleague, including an adapted version of the Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition (SAMR) model I developed.  To determine how their programme is currently offered/works (conventional), identifying digital technology options and potential  examples of application.  What started out as a light consultation on analysing digital practices turned out to be a redefinition and transformation of their digital practices.  My manager also made a comment: "Thanks Dan, looks very interesting and a great way of showing the enhancement/transformation of more conventional approaches through digital."

Looking back, it was a timely discussion to have as a few months later Teams would become the norm for all communication and collaboration!
